How many must die?

How many innocent Palestinian lives have to be lost before a ceasefire is reached?

This was my question to the House during a Westminster Hall debate on the topic of Israel and Gaza. Every single day more and more innocent blood is being spilt, much of it from innocent children who are caught up in this terrifying and inescapable ordeal. The actions of Hamas must be condemned in the strongest possible terms, but we also must not allow Israel to retaliate using tactics that amount to the collective punishment of the Palestinian people - most of whom have no connection to the terror group.

We need a ceasefire, we need a ceasefire now.
