Anum Qaisar welcomes Cabinet Secretary Humza Yousaf to Constituency on Visit to Monklands Hospital

On Thursday 1st September, Ms Qaisar MP, welcomed the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Humza Yousaf, to the constituency on a joint visit to University Hospital Monklands.
Both elected representatives met with Heather Knox, Chief Executive of NHS Lanarkshire. Ms Qaisar and Mr Yousaf also visited various departments such as the Covid Rehab Team, Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy, Ambulatory Care Areas and Day Surgery Unit, meeting with staff and discuss the redevelopment of the hospital.
The Monklands Replacement Project (MRP) are in the process of producing a detailed consultation report that will be provided to North Lanarkshire Council alongside the planning application which will be submitted later this year.
